If being able to access the back hatch of your 2017 Honda CR-V is important to you then you will want to go with a hitch mounted bike rack that can swing out of the way. This, of course, requires a trailer hitch to do so. If you do not already have one then I recommend installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76128 which is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. The 2" receiver will allow us to choose from a much broader range of bike rack options.
For complete access to the rear hatch of your CR-V I recommend the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. This can carry up to 4 bikes weighing in at 40 lbs each. The best part about this bike rack is that it has the ability to swing away with the bikes still loaded. This means that if you have to make a stop somewhere on your way to or from your biking location and need access to the rear hatch you don't have to remove the bikes and/or the rack.
Along with the features mentioned above, the FullSwing also offers bike and rack locks, a SpeedKnob which helps secure the rack to the inside of your receiver for less movement, and dual arms that can be folded down for rear clearance or storage. Of course this rack also has the integrated bottle opener that Yakima is known for. Please note that if any of your bikes doesn't have a horizontal crosstube then an adapter bar like part # Y02531 may be needed for ground clearance.
Attached is a review video of this on a vehicle with a hatch that you can check out for the comparison.
