Trailer Hitch for a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 LD
Question:
Will this bolt up to my 2500 NON HD?

Expert Reply:
Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 41944 only fits the HD models of the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500. For your LD the comparable hitch is # 41932. It does require that the truck have the factory bumper and brackets for installation. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation for you.
For a ball mount and balls I recommend the Curt adjustable ball mount # C45900. It is rated for 14,000 pounds gross trailer weight and includes a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch ball. I also recommend locking hitch pin # e98880 to deter theft of accessories.
If your truck does not have a trailer connector at the back you can add one using # PK11898 if there is a wire loom above the spare tire with blunt cut wires. If your truck has a round plug with a cap instead of a bundle of wires above the spare tire, use part # 30955 instead of the PK11898.
