Replacement Coupler for 2003 Lancaster EH8216-12K
Question:
I want to remove a actuator coupler and replace it with straight coupler. 2003 Lancaster EH8216-12K I bought 4 electric drum brakes from etrailer and will convert over to electric brakes. But I am hoping I could also replace the coupler from the pintle system to a ball hitch system because the trailer sits low to the ground while hitched to my truck. The dimensions are 5.5 x 3.5 on the trailer receiver box.

Expert Reply:
A straight coupler won't work on the trailer receiver box dimensions you give of 5.5 x 3.5. An alternative option would be the Demco Trailer Coupler w/ 5-Position Adjustable Channel - eZ-Latch # DM6125-81 which would need to be welded in position, but would give you the adjustable height for your coupler.
