Recommendation for a 4 Bike Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack for a Motor Home and Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I need a suggestion on a 4 bike rack that will fit a 2 inch receiver to be used on both a diesel pusher motorhome and a jeep grand cherokee. It must be able to hold childrens bikes as well as adult bikes. I would like something that folds down when used on the jeep to get into the tailgate or at least the back window if possible. From reading the reviews, it seems that I also need 15 inches of ground clearance. Can you point me in the direction of the recommended model?

The only 4 bike rack that we carry that can be used on a motor home and on another vehicle with a 2 inch hitch is going to be the Swagman Standard 4 Bike Rack, # S64400, that you have referenced. It will hold childrens and adult bikes. It does not have the ability to fold.
This rack has a straight shank so if you measure from the ground to the bottom of the receiver opening on the hitch on the motor home while parked on level ground, you will know the clearance you will have with the rack installed. If it is less than 15 inches, you can use # D210 to add a bit of a rise (4-3/4 inches from the top of the receiver tube).
