How is the Furrion Observation Camera Connected and Can It Be Turned Off?
Question:
I have a 2018 Flagstaff RV the unit is pre-wired for the furrion system. My question is on the Furrion Observation System does the camera constantly stay on once I arrive at my destination or can I shut it off? Thanks

The Furrion Digital Wireless Observation System # FOS43TASF is often wired into your reverse light function and will not be on unless your tow vehicle is shifted into reverse. It will not draw any power unless your vehicle is connected to your trailer and the vehicle is shifted into reverse, so you won't have any power draw when your are at your destination.
A better option and what you are seeking is to connect the camera power to the running light power instead for a constant rear view when the running lights are on. This still will not draw power when you are at your destination with your vehicle turned off or if you turn the running lights off manually.
This is a really nice camera system with a clear picture and easy installation.
