Does the Power Need to be Run to the Battery When Installing the T-One # 118669 on a 2017 Ford Edge
Question:
Does that power converter really need to be connected? Or will the lights function o.k. without it? Power Converter on tekonsha wiring kit 118669

Helpful Expert Reply:
The converter on the Tekonsha T-One # 118669 will need to have the Black wire run to your battery for the 4-Way connector to function properly.
It is designed to draw power directly from the battery itself so that the wiring on your 2017 Ford Edge is not affected. The connectors basically get tripped when your brake lights/turn lights/ running lights are activated and tell the converter to send power to the trailer lights.
