Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2015 Subaru Impreza Wagon
Question:
Can I tow a utility trailer with this car? Or kayak trailer?

I checked an online version of the owner's manual for the 2015 Subaru Impreza and found the towing capacity to be 1,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight. I do urge you to check your owner's manual to confirm. Subaru puts towing information in the "Driving Tips" section of the manual.
Provided that the gross trailer weight is under the capacity of the vehicle you can tow a trailer. And considering you are looking to tow a utility trailer or kayak trailer you should be able to stay under the vehicle capacity.
For a trailer hitch you can use Draw-Tite hitch # DT24959. This is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver and it is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight (though you are limited to the vehicle capacity).
The recommended ball mount is # 3593. If the trailer you tow needs a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 or for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for a trailer wiring harness you can use # 118573 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle.
We also have a selection of small trailers. I have included a link to them for you. We have some neat little "roof rack on wheels" types of trailers such as the Malone EcoLight # MAL53FR. We even have some utility trailer kits such as the Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame trailer # K2MMT5X7.
