Comparing the Performance of the Curt and Draw-Tite Class I Hitches on a 2017 Chevrolet Trax
Question:
for bike or cargo carrier use on a 17 trax which hitch can i use. I saw the curt recommends a stabilizer strap and that seems like a nuisance.

For your 2017 Chevy Trax, we offer the Curt Class I, part # C11527. This hitch has a 200 lb maximum tongue weight and 2,000 lb towing capacity. You can verify your vehicle's capacities in your owner's manual or with your manufacturer, as the actual capacity will be determined by your vehicle if it is lower than the 200 lb/ 2000 lb
The stabilizer strap for the Curt hitch, part # 18050, is a bit of a nuisance, but has a large effect on the actual performance of your accessories. It's a little hard to explain, so I've included a video that shows a cargo carrier and bike rack with and without the strap installed, and how different their performance is.
