Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Trailer Wiring for 2017 Honda CR-V Touring
Question:
Was looking to have a 36597 installed in my 2017 CRV Touring model. Question is, will it mask the leg kick detector that opens the rear hatch? Thanks

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36597 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 CR-V Touring. It will limit the use of the hands free tailgate sensors to either side of the center receiver tube, but will still allow that function without any noticeable changes.
If you will be doing some towing with this receiver, I recommend the ball mount # 36051 which comes with the pin and clip along with the wiring harness # 118741. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Honda CR-V's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, behind the driver's-side interior trim panel. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, open the fuse compartment beneath the driver's-side dash. Locate the fuse position indicated in the instructions, then insert the included fuse.
You will then just need a hitch ball like # 19258 for a 2 inch diameter ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball.
