How to Access Lighting Signals in Silverado 4-Pole Wiring
Question:
I have a 99 silverado. I put a flat bed on it and flush mount trailer lights on the bed for my tail lights. Im not sure how to wire the lights to the exsisting harness. I want to leave my 4 way trailer light plug in place for trailers.

If your Silverado already has 4-pole trailer wring in place you can use a T-connector harness like # 118384 or # C55384 to give you access to the stop/turn/running light signals you need for your new tail lights.
As long as your existing wiring uses a round U.S. Car type connector the above part will simply plug in inline with that wiring and give you the same signals. You can refer to the linked article for more on wiring.
In 4-pole wiring the white wire is ground, the brown wire is running lights, the yellow wire is for left stop/turn and the green is for right stop/turn.
