Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located either behind the rear bumper or inside the driver's-side frame channel.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today, we're going to take a look at the Hopkins plug in simple vehicle wiring harness with the 4 way flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1998-2004 Chevrolet S-10 and GMC Sonoma trucks, and also the 1998-2000 Isuzu Hombre truck. Now in a custom fit part, I always like to recommend to go to our website. Use our fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle, and it will show if this will work for your application.
Now this harness will provide this 4 way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal light. It is compatible with 5 pole, 6 pole, and 7 pole adapters that we do sell separately on our website. This harness does connect very quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing the wires. Basically, you just locate your connection point which will usually be behind the rear bumper or inside the frame channel on the vehicle. That plug will match these.
You just plug it in, and then you take your white wire that has the eyelet on it. You can connect this to a good clean ground. Now if you need to make your own ground, they do include this grounding screw that you can drill a hole and make your own ground. Just run your 4 way out the back, and it's ready to plug into your trailer to supply the lights. What you also notice is on these connectors right here, it does have the protected connection terminals to help resist corrosion. It comes with everything shown here.
It comes with this nice dust cap for your 4 way. Basically what you can do is just attach that to your 4 way, just stretches right on there. You can leave it on there. You don't have to take it off once you get it stretched on there. What you can do is when you're not plugged into your trailer, just put your cover over there, and that will protect the terminals from any damage or from the elements. It also comes with a couple of cable ties to take up any slack it the wiring.
It comes with the ground screw I mentioned earlier. It comes with this nice packet of terminal grease or dielectric grease for your electrical connections. What you want to do is when you connect this to your vehicle, it's recommended to use a small amount of that dielectric grease on all your electric connections. Basically, when you plug it into your connection point on your vehicle, put some grease on that, and even on your 4 way when you plug it into the trailer. That will help prevent any corrosion. Installation was a breeze even laying flat on my back in the driveway.Harness easily plugged into the factory harness, avoiding have to splice & dice the wiring for an unreliable install.

Ordered this for my S10. It came in a timely fashion. And the product looks well made. Does NOT look like a cheap harness. Came with some zip ties and electrical lubricant which was cool. I hooked it up in no time. Had zero issues. All the lights work on my trailer and on the truck. I will def order from them again.
