How to Power Blue Ox Patriot Braking System on Ford Edge when Disconnecting Battery Cable

I bought the base plate and also the patriot 11 braking system from etrailer but if you have to unhook the battery how can i make it work

Since your 2017 Ford Edge requires that the negative battery cable be disconnected to tow the vehicle, you will just need to add the 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 for use with your Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR. This kit is needed to provide power to the braking system with the vehicle battery disconnected. The kit attaches directly to the battery terminals to provide the needed power.
In order for the Blue Ox Patriot System to work properly on your vehicle, you will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751475. I have attached the installation details on this product that you can take a look at.
