Wiring for Headache Rack on 2015 Ram 2500

Question:

I need to know if the Curt T-connector will work for my project please! I would like to tee into my 2015 Ram 2500 7 pin and use the pigtail from the Curt to supply 12v power to some lights on my headache rack. I plan to put a switch inline and dont want them to come on in reverse. Guess I just need to know if the Curt 7 t-connector to 4 pin that Ive seen on your site will allow 12v power somewhere in the 4 pin for me to tap into. I would assume that the three excess wires going from the 7 pin to the flat 4 are terminated somewhere between the "t" and the 4 pin. It appears that all 7 go into the loom. Which one would I tap into for 12v power?

There is a simple solution for you, but the Curt T-Connector # C55384 will not allow you to gain 12V power. Instead, all you will really need is the appropriate amount of wire # 10-2-1 and a switch such as the Pollak # PK34513. Run the wire from the 12V circuit on your Ram 2500's 7 pin to your lights and install the switch in line with the power wire. The other wire in #10-2-1 will be the ground wiring.

If you did want to use a harness, the Curt # C56070 will allow you to hook up to your factory 7-way and tapping into the 12V pin on the harness. I've added a link to a video review of this harness for you to take a look at.
