You will need to check your owners manual or with the Ford dealer to see if your 1990 Ford Bronco II can be flat towed. Some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, drive line disconnect or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed. If the correct procedure is not followed it will cause severe damage to the transmission.

If you are able to tow your vehicle, and you have a tow bar, the other parts you will need are the base plates, safety cables, lights, and a supplemental braking system as required by law.

The base plates you will need are the Roadmaster Classic Base Plate Kit, part # 411-1. These base plates will work with all Roadmaster tow bars. If you have a different tow bar you will need to let me know to see if I will have base plates or adapters that would work.

For safety cables, I recommend the RoadMaster Safety Cables, part # RM-643.

For lights I would recommend the Custer Magnetic Towing Light Kit, part # RM-2120.

For a braking system, the easiest to use and install is the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, part # RM-9400. This unit installs quickly so you are ready to go in minutes. It engages the towed vehicle brakes proportionally to how much the towing vehicle is braking, reducing wear of both the towing vehicle and towed vehicle brakes.

I am including a link to a FAQ page on flat towing a vehicle.
