What is Needed to Add Electric Brakes to Pop-Up Camper?
Question:
I have a 2006 Starcraft 2107 pop up. Want to add electric brakes. How can I tell which ones I need. Or how or what what can I measure to figure out what axle I have. Thanks

To add electric brakes to your 2006 Starcraft pop-up camper, there are a few bits of information you'll need to know. Instead of measuring your axle, you would need to know its weight capacity, as well as the size of your wheels, your mounting flange bolt pattern.
A hub and drum assembly would also be necessary. To get the appropriate one you would need to know the bearing numbers and grease seal that are on your current hub, as well as the wheel bolt pattern of your existing hub. Once you have the appropriate hub and know the inside diameter and depth of your hub you could choose the right brake assemblies. For example, the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA are for 3,500 lb axles, fit wheels between 13" and 15", have 4 bolt mounting flange pattern and are 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide.
You would also need a breakaway kit, brake controller, and wiring for your tow vehicle. I've left a link to our page with our selection of brakes for you to take a look at.

I need to replace my brakes on my pop up camper. The hub is 10” and the pads are 21/4 with 13” wheel 5 lugs. And I’m want to replace all the bearings and what ever else I need to make it all new. Can I get all this from you.
