What Does Skirt Cladding Mean in Terms of Installing Westin Nerf Steps 22-5055-1985
Question:
i have a 2013 Grand Cherokee. Some of the boards state that they do not work with skirt cladding. I do not know what that is....

It's a plastic cladding that runs along the bottom of the door threshold area basically. If there was a plastic section that ran the distance between the wheel wells below the doors that would be the skirt cladding. There normally is a black section or painted section found under the door area that is not considered the cladding.
I attached a picture from the # 22-5055-1985 that shows this kit installed with what would appear to be a plastic cladding but in fact is not an issue with these steps. I hope I am not confusing you further, but basically if you have what's in the attached picture you are good.
