Identifying OE Skirt Cladding for Westin Running Board Compatibility
Question:
The install notes state that these wont fit models equipped with the OE skirt cladding. What is that? How do I tell if my Durango has that?

The OE skirt cladding would be an extra plastic panel that runs along the bottom of the door threshold. It runs front to back between the wheels under the doors. If you don't have this, or are ok with removing it, you can use the # 27-6630-1975.
I attached a picture from the instructions showing what the running boards look like installed on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. You can see how the running board hugs the side under the doors. If you had the skirt cladding it would not be possible to install these in that location.
If you do have the skirt cladding and don't want to remove it, you need nerf bars like the # 22-6025-1985 instead. The brackets and design allow it to hang down in a way that the skirt cladding would not interfere.
