How much air in the tires depends on what type of tires you have on your trailer. Normally, tires have a psi rating embossed on the outerwall and this air pressure is the level you should keep in them at all times. The air pressure being kept at the maximum level is crucial to maintaining load capacity and overall safety. For example, if you have a tire like the Loadstar ST175/80D13 Item # AM1ST77 then your tire would need to be at 65 psi so that it can carry its maximum load and be safe on the road.
