Recommended Axle Replacement with Brakes for 1993 Coachman 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
Do you folks carry an axel that is 84in face to face of hub and 70in spring center. The breaks need replacing of everything, including the hubs, which are 8-283 obsolete. It appears the best thing to do is to install new axles, with newer hubs and breaks. 1993 coachman 5th wheel. Thanks

For your 1993 Coachman 5th wheel trailer, we do not have axles the measurements you gave, however I do have a solution for you.
We have a universal fit axle-less system that is really nice and will work great on your trailer. I recommend the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs - Straight Spindle - 3,500 lbs # A35RS545E which will allow you to mount your spindles with shock absorbers to the frame of your trailer to ensure proper width. This system just requires a 2 inch square tube (to be purchased locally) be used in the integrated holes on this system. I've attached a video to assist. This system will replace your leaf springs and can be used in tandem applications. This will give you the electric brakes and the hub assemblies you need...it is a complete axle replacement kit.
Let me know if you have questions or have axles over 3500 lb capacity so I can get you the parts you need.
