Draw-Tite vs. Curt for Bike Rack Recommendation for 2017 Prius Prime
Question:
I am looking for a hitch-mounted bike rack for a 2017 Prius Prime. You have two current options October, 2017: * Curt C11473 * Draw-Tite 24966 In a video for the regular Prius 2016-date your experts recommended the Draw-Tite option because it had better clearance and didnt require a stabilizing strap. Does the same recommendation apply for the Prius Prime? Also, the installation guide for the Curt is available from your website. Is the installation guide available for the Draw-Tite model? Thanks!

Yes, the Draw Tite part # 24966 is the best hitch for the 2017 Toyota Prius Prime for carrying a bike rack since it has best clearance and doesn't require the strap like Curt does. I attached a link to the install instructions for you to check out as well.
I really like the Saris Freedom Superclamp part # SA4025F. This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform rack.
This rack also only touches bikes at the tire so it protects any damage to delicate frame materials or finishes.
