What Connector is Needed on Truck Camper to Install to Valley Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness # C56000?
Question:
I am purchasing a unit # V30133 to connect a truck camper wiring to my F250 Super Duty. I will need to change out the connector on the camper to fit the female end on the V30133. What connector do I need?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness, part # C56000 will connect inline with the factory 7-Way wiring harness on your 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty. It will allow you to retain the use of the factory 7-Way on your vehicle now.
The camper will need to connect to the vehicle end 7-Way connector of the Curt harness # C56000. The vehicle end connector on the Valley harness would be a male end connector.
You will want to use a 7-Way trailer end connector like the Pollak 7-Way Trailer Connector, part # PK12706, on your camper which is a female end connector. This will allow you to plug into the male end connector on the Curt harness. If you are needing a connector on the camper that will also have an extra length of wire attached I would recommend the Hopkins 7-Way Plug and Lead, part # H20042.
I am including a link to a product page that will show all the choices I would have for a 7-Way connector on your camper.
Also, I am including a link to a FAQ page on trailer wiring that will show you how a 7-Way trailer connector will need to be wired.
