The trailer warning lights flashing in your message center sounds like either a ground issue on the trailer or a corrosion problem between the trailer connectors.
I would first start off by disconnecting the trailer connectors and using a bit of electrical spray to clean the pins. Once done, I would also use a bit of dielectric grease like part # 11755 between the two connectors before mating them back together to prevent future problems. Before you move onto the trailer wiring, I also suggest ensuring all of the wire on the back of the connectors are secure. Give each of them a good wiggle to ensure they are tight.
If cleaning the trailer's connectors does not fix the problem, you will then want to check the trailer's ground. Following the ground wire from the trailer connector (usually white) to the trailer's frame, check for damaged or frayed wire and use electric tape like part to seal them. Once you have located the ring terminal grounded to the trailer frame, I suggest removing the terminal, sanding the surface down with a bit of sandpaper and then reattach using new connectors and hardware like part # DW05705-1 and part # FA1131822.
If none of these options provide a solution to your problem please let me know and I would be glad to offer additional troubleshooting advice for you.
