I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha who said that you shouldn't be experiencing a problem with your liftgate on your 2017 Honda CR-V after installing the Tekonsha T-One # 118741. If you possibly cut or moved some wiring around other than what you needed to for the installation then that could very well be why you are having problems.
I was able to see that you also purchased the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76128 for your CR-V as well. If the problem is that you are having trouble activating the liftgate with your foot then the trailer hitch is what is most likely causing that. The steel can sometimes interfere with the sensor for the liftgate, but we have found that if you put your foot to the left or right of the receiver opening and kick as if you were kicking a soccer ball the liftgate will work fine.
If you cannot close the tailgate with your remote or a button then that is as entirely different issue. Let me know if that is the case.
