Not long-term. The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 shifts to a power-saving mode when not in use. In this setting, the power draw falls to a minimum to reduce the drain on your vehicle's battery. When you turn your vehicle off, it shifts into a "sleep" mode in about 15 minutes.
