Threaded Hitch Pin on Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack # S64670 Does Not Go All the Way Through Receiver

Question:

I recently purchased a Swagman XTC-2 bike rake. I have a Tacoma with a 2 Class 4 hitch receiver. The threaded hitch pin is too short to engage the keeper pin in the end of the hitch pin, likely because of the thicker steel on the Class 4 receiver. Are there longer hitch pins available?

I spoke with my contact at Swagman and she stated that the threaded hitch pin does not need to be clipped on the other side to be secure. All you will need to do is to tighten it as much as you can with the included tool and it will be fine.

If you would prefer to have it so that it is secure on both sides, my contact stated that you will need to use the locking hitch pin, # S64029, and that should fit.
