Parts Needed to Install 7-Way and Brake Controller in a 2013 Chevy Traverse
Question:
Hello, Im trying to figure out what parts I would need to install trailer brake and wiring on my 2013 Traverse LT. The Traverse does not have the factory tow package meaning no hitch or 7-pin connector. It does have the harness under the wheel well though, so I believe I could use part # 118271 to add a 7-pin connector. To add a trailer brake, would I only need something like part # TK90160,3026-P since it already has the wiring installed to the rear with the factory connector in the wheel well? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
What you need first is the 7-way part # 118271 which is a confirmed fit for your 2013 Chevy Traverse without trailer wiring. Then you'd be able to use the factory port of your vehicle to install the brake controller.
Then to install the # TK90160 that you mentioned all you'd need is the part # 3026-P that you referenced as well and you'd be set.
