Recommended Self-Adjusting Brake Assemblies for Lippert 3500 lb Axles
Question:
I have dual Lippert LCI35T axles. I want to upgrade to forward self adjusting brake assemblies. Are the assemblies all I need? Can I re-use the existing drums? Do the brakes adust braking forward or reverse or both?

For your Lippert LCI35T axles, you will only need to replace the brake assemblies. The hub/drum assemblies will work fine with the new brake assemblies. I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA. These assemblies need manual adjustment at install and then will automatically adjust based on the brake shoe thickness to continue to give you the best braking on your trailer. The assemblies have fine-toothed brake adjustment gears to allow precision setting. They adjust as you move forward or backward.
These assemblies come labeled so you put them on the proper side of your axle for proper braking. You will need two sets for your tandem axle application.
