Anti-Rattle Locking Hitch Bolt on Swagman Platform Bike Rack
Question:
Hi, I purchased the Swagman Chinook bike rack Item # S64683 and a 1 1/4 inch hitch from you. I am having difficulty installing the hitch anti rattle lock. It just seems too long. I can slide it through the hitch and bike rack easily, no tightening of anything required. And then it just seems too long to do anything. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

For the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack # S64683 the anti-rattle locking pin does look too long for a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver, but it is designed to function this way. I know many people prefer the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks - 7' # S64031 with other Swagman racks because the cable is designed to be integrated with the pin. The threading for the anti-rattle will only be on one side of the hitch receiver so you will want to match that up so you are aware of the fit prior to installation in the hitch receiver.
