What is the Size of the Threaded Stud on the Back of CIPA Clamp-On HotSpot Mirror - 4" x 8" CM49504

Question:

I need to know the size of the bolt coming out of the back of the mirror. Im trying to match it up with one of your Ubolts for mounting on a truck mirror arm that isnt round. You might tell whoever demonstrates the product to ALWAYS tell us the measurements of the basic components. He measured the mirror but never told the mounting bolt size. He also didnt say if the tension was adjustable for the ball joint. Looks like it is because I saw some nuts in that area. Being able to adjust the tension is a selling feature because a loose, wobbly mirror is a bad thing, making the mirror useless going down the freeway at 70 mph.

I pulled a CIPA Clamp-On HotSpot Mirror - 4" x 8" - Convex Item # CM49504 from the warehouse to measure the stud on the back. The threaded part is 1/4 inch coarse threaded and it is 1/2 inch long. After the threaded part is a solid piece with wrench flats. The rounded part is 7/16 inches wide and the part with the wrench flats is 3/8 inches wide. The solid piece is also 1/2 inch long.

The tension can be adjusted for the ball joint.
