Clamp On Blind Spot Mirror For Ford E450 Econoline Coachmen Motorhome
Question:
The Cipa Mirror CM49504 is perfect for my needs, but I need a different clamp to attach it to my mirror. I have seen other mirrors with a screw on clamp that attaches to the top or bottom of vehicless mirror, to which the screw on clamp is attached. My existing mirror does not have the tubes to which the CM49504 is designed to attach. The mirrors on my Ford E450 Econoline Coachmen motor home are attached by a large round approximately 1.5 inch diameter rod that extends from the door. I would like to clamp this CM49504 mirror to either the top or bottom of the mirrors. Does Cipa have a clamp that can be substituted for the one shown in your advertisement which is intended to be mounted on a small diameter tube? If not, I will have to fabricate a clamp on mount. Thanks.

I have a mirror option for you, but I spoke with my contact at CIPA about the CIPA Clamp-On HotSpot Mirror # CM49504 and she said the # CM49504 is not designed clamp onto a mirror housing, and there is no adapter or interchangeable clamp for this mirror to allow it to mount a different way.
The only blind spot mirror that clamps on in the way you are describing is the CIPA Top Mounted Blind Spot Mirror # CM49805. This mirror will clamp onto the top of the mirror housing on your motorhome. However, this mirror measures 4 inches wide x 1-1/4 inch tall. I have attached a review video of this mirror for you.
CIPA does not have a blind spot mirror that is designed to clamp on a mirror housing that is a comparable size to the # CM49504.
