What is Required to Tow Lets Go Aero LittleGiant With 2017 Ford Fusion?
Question:
Hi Folks - we are getting the following trailer : - Lets Go Aero Hexcap - Hard Tonno For Littlegiant - Lets Go Aero Littlegiant - Torsion Trailer I had a trailer hitch installed on my 2017 Ford Fusion Sport but it has a 1-1/4inch receiver. I believe that the trailer needs a 2-inch receiver. I thought an adapter would take care of this but it looks like they arent rated for towing. Can you confirm this? The trailer hitch for my car on your site is 1 1/4. Is there a 2inch receiver for it? Am I out of luck? Thanks! Dean

It is not necessary to have a 2" receiver to tow the Let's Go Aero LittleGiant TLK864; this utility trailer has a coupler which attaches to a 2" hitch ball. That size hitch ball is what you'd need, along with a ball mount.
The correct ball mount for a 1-1/4" hitch on your 2017 Fusion Sport would be Curt Class II Drawbar # C45016. This drawbar has a 3/4" hitch ball hole diameter, and the 2" hitch ball that would fit is the Curt # A-82. If you have this, along with a wiring harness such as # 118574 to give you a 4-flat connector, you should be ready to tow your new LittleGiant.
I've added links to review videos of these parts for you to take a look at.
