Fastway Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2018 Keystone Bullet 2070 BH

Question:

Hi, we are going to be buying a new 2018 Keystone Bullet 2070 BH. I want to put a weight dist. hitch with sway control on it. On the Keystone spec sheet, the dry weight is 3736#, with a gvwr of 5400#, hitch weight is 420#. Ive been looking at the Fastway e2 systems, specifically the FA92-00-0600. Would this be sufficient for this unit, or would it be wise to step up to the FA92-00-0800? With just my wife and myself, I dont see us ever hitting the gvwr, but I like to be prepared just in case. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thank you!

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

If you are sure your tongue weight would stay near the 420 lbs you mentioned the part # FA92-00-0600 would work well, but most likely you'd need the part # FA92-00-0800 instead as your tongue weight would pretty easily get past that.
