Weight Distribution Hitch for 2013 Chevrolet Silverado Towing 6000-lb Trailer
Question:
I have a 25 ft travel trailer I am looking to tow with my 2013 Chevy Silverado. Inside the door it shows as 7000 max towing capacity . Dry weight of trailer is 4800 and max is 7600. I wouldnt be going close to the 7600 because of the items I bring and a low amount of water. Which weight distribution system do you guys recommend

All weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) systems operate over a range of trailer tongue weight (TW) so you want to choose one so that your loaded trailer's TW falls in the middle of its operating range. Also add in any cargo weight for items that are behind the Silverado's rear axle. A properly-loaded trailer that weights 6000-lbs, for example, will have TW in the range of 720- to 850-lbs, so a system that works from 600- to 1000-lbs TW will be perfect for you.
I suggest the Equal-I-zer system # EQ37100ET which works effectively to balance trailer weight and to prevent trailer sway for TW in this exact range. This system is all-inclusive; it even comes with the 2-5/16-inch hitch ball. All you might want to add is a thin-wall socket # EQ70-00-4800 for installing the hitch ball.
