I checked the online owner's manual for your 2015 Honda Fit and it did state that this vehicle is not designed to tow a trailer. It did not list any weight capacities or limits for the vehicle when it comes to trailer towing. I recommend checking your copy of the manual, as it's possible that you have a different model with alternative restrictions or guidelines.

If you do decide to tow a small trailer, you will want the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24920. This is a Class I hitch that will provide a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The hitch itself has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds and tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds, although you will be limited to the capacities of your Honda Fit. You will always need to follow whichever capacity is lowest. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.

For trailer wiring, theCurt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56395 is a confirmed fit for your vehicle. This harness will provide a 4-Way connector to power your trailer's signal lights once installed. I have included the written installation details that you can look through.

To tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount. I have attached an article that explains how to choose the best one for your trailer, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also attached a couple articles on towing a trailer that you might find helpful.
