On the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 referenced in your question, the wire colors are as follows:

White is for ground.
Brown is for tail lights.
Yellow is for left brake and turn.
Green is for right brake and turn.

The Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees are very different vehicles so you'd need a new base plate kit like the Blue Ox part #BX1138 since your Limited is not a Trailhawk. The Trailhawk models need the part #BX1136 instead.
