The Class system used to differentiate transmission coolers is similar to the Class system associated with trailer hitch receivers. For example, a Class III trailer hitch is used for medium duty towing therefore, a Class III transmission cooler would suffice. However, when choosing a transmission cooler for your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 it is always recommended to choose the largest cooler you have space for in front of the radiator behind the grill as this will provide the transmission cooler with the most airflow which will in turn create the best performance.

For your vehicle I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13504 as this is one of the largest plate and fin transmission cooler we have for you. It is 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep and has a Class IV rating. It will included everything needed for installation. However, if you do not wish to splice into your factory transmission line, you will want to use the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM part # D13035.

I have also included a review video of this cooler for you.
