Why Do Trailer Tire Load Ranges Vary Based on Size
Question:
I looked at a few answers you have written about this and do not understand your answers. Rather than address the questions about what the values are for trailer tire load ratings you give specific values of some tires. That does not answer what a load range rating is for B or C. Maybe there is not fixed low or high limit. I do not know if there is from what you have written. Is there a min/max load for any tire rated a B regardless of plies and other build factors? The same for a C. That is to say, yes, a tire will have a higher rating with more plies but that does not tell me anything about what the values for B class tires can be. From your answer it seems a tire rating has a floating value depending on plies and etc. That is to say from you answer the ratings scale seem to float with tire build. That is different than the tire rating. Tire rating versus load rating values. More simply what are the bounds of the values of tires in B. If a tire with 2 plies has a B and a tire with 8 plies has a B are both capable of the same max load because they are Bs?

Check out the link I attached below. At the link is a chart with all of the trailer tires sizes we offer. All of the Load Ranges are listed for the available sizes as well. You'll see that with every tire size a Load Range B (if available) has a different weight capacity.
From brand to brand the Load Range of the same size will be the same, but not across all tire sizes.
It's really just a way to organize the weight capacities for a given size in an easy way.
If you can get me the tire size you need I can help explain it's Load Range B and Load Ranges near it.
