Can Dexter 5,200 lb Trailer Hub be Converted to Oil Bath
Question:
I have a dexter 5200lb axle with EZ lube hubs. Can I convert this axle to oil bath as far as I know it has a #42 spindle. The inner bearing 25580 and outer LM67048. If I purchase new drums can they be converted as I believe the new outer bearing # should work as the inner bearing diameter is the same as the existing but a bit heavier. I know that I would have to purchase 8 lug wheels.

To convert a 5,200 lb Dexter hub to be oil bath all you really need is the kit part # XLPROLUBE2440KIT. This comes with the correct cap and seal as well as the oil needed to make the conversion.
