Where Does the Clip on Leaf Spring Need to be Facing When for Installation
Question:
i notice on my leaf springs for my trailer there is a band or clip that goes around leafs on one end, does this go towards the front of trailer or rear

Expert Reply:
The clip that you are talking about that is on your leaf spring, like part # e54SR, is called the rebound clip. It keeps the main leaf spring from breaking on a rebound.
Typically the band is located on the front-most side of the trailer but it doesn't always have to be installed oriented that way. If you have already installed your leaf spring and it is on the rear-most side of the trailer it is nothing to worry about. If you look at the installation video I linked you can see that we installed one facing one way and the other is facing the opposite way.
