Availability of 2,000 lb Trailer Hub/Drums and Assemblies
Question:
I have a spacetrailer.com cargo trailer with 15 inch wheels. Axel is rated at 2000#. Am interested in self adjusting electric brakes. The current hubs are sure lube. There is a 4 hole brake mount on the axel. Any recomendation? Will the brake kits for 3500# axels fit my setup.

We have 2,000 lb trailer brake assemblies like the part # AKEBRK-2R and # AKEBRK-2L which are 7 inch in diameter. A hub like the part # AKHD-545-2-EZ-2K would fit with these assemblies and with the standard 2,000 lb spindle dimensions. But you would want to verify the bearing numbers of your current hub. They would need to both be L44649.
