Recommended Replacement Pin Box for a Mor/Ryde RPB72-1621SHD
Question:
I have a mor/ryde part#RPB72-1621SHD and will the 158778 trail air replace it without any problems. I have a new 3500 GMC Denali with a new gooseneck/fifth wheel hitch made by BandW. I am having trouble of getting enough clearance between pickup bed and bottom of trailer. Will the trail air 158778 help me to get the clearance

Although the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778 will replace your Mor/Ryde RPB72-1621SHD, it will not offer any more height than you can already achieve with your current pin box. I do have a possible solution for you though.
Instead of using a standard pin box you could use a Sidewinder, if you have the standard base rails, which will move the pivot point of your trailer to the rotating turret of the pin box. If you have the Companion 5th wheel hitch that sits in the B&W gooseneck hitch then a Sidewinder will not be compatible. If the problem is that your pin box is almost hitting the bed rails on your 3500 GMC Denali then this could possibly be your solution since the pin box will remain stationary.
If your trailer does not weigh more than 16,000lbs then I recommend going with the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret # RP61422 since it is a combination of the Sidewinder and the comfortable ride that the Trailair Air Ride would offer. If your trailer weighs more than 16,000 lbs but not over 20,000 lbs then you will want to go with part # RP34FR instead.
