Can Wire from Brake Lights on 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup be Connected to Factory 7-Way
Question:
Can I bypass the vehicle computer? My brake lights on the 7 pin and 4 pin connectors do not work. Can I run a wire from my brake lights on the vehicle to the 7 pin connector for brake lights?

If the brake light pin for the 7 and 4-Way connectors on your 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup is not working, you can certainly pull power from the brake lights themselves and connect a wire to the existing 7-Way. This should resolve the issue you are having, which is actually a fairly common one for the computer systems on your model year Ram.
