Why Are There More Than One Set of Mounting Holes for Curt Leg Kit C16017

There are four holes on the side of mount, what are they for because you only need two of them to mount the head.

The leg kit part # C16017 fits a couple different head designs from Curt which have different mounting hole spacings. That is why there are two sets of holes.

I recommend using a Lube Plate #16721 over covering the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch #DM8550043 in Grease #L74FR. The lube plate is much cleaner and you will not have to constantly clean off the dirt and apply new grease over time.
