Recommended Hitch-Mounted Platform Style Bike Rack with Locks Included
Question:
Hello, Im looking for a hitch mounted bike rack. Here are the things Id like to find on the rack: * Hitch mounted * Platform type * Bike wheel mount * 1.25inch Hitch * 6.5inch distance from center of hitch pin hole to nearest part of rack WHEN FOLDED UP * Locks for hitch to vehicle PLUS lock of both wheels. This last requirement is the one that Im not sure is available. If not, there are plenty of options out there, but am hoping to find one with this additional feature.

I recommend looking at the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02445. This is a great platform-style carrier that will allow you to transport up to 2 bikes at 60 pounds each. It features a wheel-mount design for easy loading and unloading and the rack can be tilted down for easy rear cargo access on your vehicle. It is compatible with Class II, 1-1/4 inch hitch receivers. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack when it is folded up for storage is 7 inches.
This rack does include built-in cable locks that will secure and lock your bikes to the rack. If you wish, you can run the cables through a wheel on each bike. A hitch lock is also included to lock the rack to your vehicle's trailer hitch.
I have attached a video demonstration on this bike rack so you can see exactly how everything works.
