Recommended Wiring Harness For A 2017 Honda Pilot

Hi The video shows a 2016 model Honda Pilot, assume the 2017 is identical. How difficult is the wiring harness to install?

The installation of all our harnesses for your Honda Pilot will be the same for both the 2016 and 2017 models. I recommend using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite HD Module part # 118760 for a 4-way and the T-One Vehicle Wiring way Harness for Factory Tow Package part # 118286 for a 7-way as both of these harnesses are a direct plug and play option that are very easy to install. In fact, you will only need to remove one trim panel for either installation.
If you choose to tow a trailer with brakes, you will want the 7-way wiring harness in addition to a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 if you do not already have one.
To secure the trailer connector to your trailer hitch receiver, I recommend using the 4-Flat Universal Mounting Bracket part # 18144 for 4-way connectors along with the Short Bracket # 18140 or Long Bracket # 18136 which would give you a no-drill application. I have attached an installation video of both harnesses and the brake controller on similar year Honda Pilot's for you.
