Installation of TorkLift Battery Box TLA7708R on Travel Trailer with OEM Battery Tray
Question:
What becomes of the travel trailer factory installed metal framing that is welded to the A frame? Does this box fit inside that frame? Either a single or dual battery config.

Expert Reply:
The TorkLift PowerArmor Locking Battery Box # TLA7708R does not require any pre-existing structure on the trailer since it includes mounting hardware. But if your travel trailer has such a feature included this may still be usable for an installation point. It just depends on whether or not it can accept the box's dimensions, which are 26-3/4 long x 8-3/16-inches wide. You may be able to mount the box on your existing tray, or possibly even convert that space to another storage purpose.
