We have a hitch that will fit your 1998 Chevy S-10 Sportside with Roll pan bumper. It is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75085.
If you will be towing with this receiver, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118359. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located at the rear, along the inside of the driver's side frame rail. I've attached an installation video to assist.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 7.5K - Black # BWTS10038B. This will give you a 10-1/2 inch fit option to allow you to tow a trailer level. It comes with a 2 inch and a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball option. it also comes with a very cool stowable feature to give you a clean look when not in use and protect your shins when loading or unloading cargo from the bed. I recommend a hitch lock like # BX8858 to secure your investment.
