Hardwiring Tekonsha 7-Way And 4-Way Functions On Factory Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma with factory 7 blade plug in. I purchased a Tekonsha # 74682 plug in to have a 4 pole plug in also. My truck came with factory tow package but does not have the direct plug in that the part came with. I was needing to know what each wire on the new plug went to so I could hard wire it, my plug came with two yellow wires, white, brown, blue, green, black, a wiring diagram would be great, thanks for your time

Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4-Flat Trailer Connector # 74682 can be hardwired using Quick Splice Wire Connector - 14-18 AWG (Qty 1) # SWC501925-1. You will attach in the following way.
White is ground
Blue is Brake Controller
Black is 12V
Brown is Running/tail lights
Green is right turn/stop
Yellow is left turn/stop
The second yellow will be for reverse
I've attached an article to assist further. I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test functions prior to splicing.
