I contacted our representative at Curt about the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 11344. He informed me that from the bottom of the receiver to the ground, there is 9 inches of clearance. The distance from the top of the receiver to the ground, will measure 10-1/4 inches.
The representative at Curt sent a picture showing the hitch installed on an Audi A6. I have used Photoshop to illustrate the ground clearance you will have with part # 11344 installed on your Audi A6.
The Curt Hitch # 11344 includes a drawbar, pin and clip, to complete your towing setup, you may be interested in the following items:

If you plan on using a hitch mounted bike rack, you will need to use a bike rack designed to work with a Class I trailer hitch. Curt also requires that you use a stabilization strap, part # 18050, when using a bike rack or other hitch mounted accessory that is not a trailer load. You will be limited to carrying 2 bikes since all the hitches available for the Audi A6 are Class I hitches.
