Since both the EZ4 # RM-521448-4 and EZ5 # RM-521448-5 base plate kits fit your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and have removable draw bars there really doesn't seem to be much of a difference at first glance. However, there are some significant differences that are important to take note of.

The EZ5 kit is easier to connect your Falcon tow bar to but does not allow the use of the anchor brackets for sterling cables. Sterling cable anchors will have to be attached to the frame or welded to the receiver portion of the bracket. It is also not compatible with the Guardian rock shield, Tow Defender, Stowaway or the StowMaster and StowMaster All Terrain tow bars.

The EZ4 kit doesn't have any restrictions other than it will not fit the Rubicon X which the EZ5 has as well.

Keep in mind that in addition to your tow bar and these base plates you will also need safety cables, tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. I recommend the following:

Safety Cables - # RM-643
Tow Bar Wiring - # RM-154
Supplemental Braking System - # SM99251

Part # RM-751452 will also be required if your brake lights do not illuminate when the vehicle is off or if the ignition is in the "tow" position.

I have attached a helpful article on how to determine if you need a high-low adapter as well as a link to our selection of adapters for you to review.

I have also attached some review and installation videos for you to check out.
